Octaves are the same frq in higher or lower form.
The ones dowsed for are best but sometimes you can increase an frq by a few octaves and have it penetrate farther yet be less effective. Other times you can lower it to be more effective yet penetrate less...but that can be altered by adding carriers to make up or using a Plasma Tube or a Bean.

Scalar harmonics are just that, the mathematical calculation to make the same note in a pipe organ one octave up. It produces the same effect as a good pipe organ does by increasing the resonance of the key frq...harmonics...

The highlighted ones are the most commone used when using Scalar. You will find we use Scalar mostly with Toxins difficult to destroy...
