Re: Desperate Ex-Mirena User

Thanks, Hanna, for reposting the Truth in Medicine info I received. Very helpful and it makes good sense. Estrogen and progesterone are hormones I haven't been tested for yet, since my GP told me even if they were abnormal, she wouldn't know what to do for it anyway....???? That's helpful.

So I assume my body needs help making progesterone, so I'm going to try the Vitex and see how that goes. I did have adrenal fatigue also, but saw an NP and he's helped immensely with that. I was glad to know that was where the excercise-induced asthma came from. That is getting better slowly too.

Fmoore, yes, the most frustrating thing has been the no weight loss and estrogen dominance does make sense in that regard. T3 was low normal, but TSH was perfect.

It's such a relief to have been given some appropriate advice rather than just having a GP look at me not having a clue and getting me to fill out a questionnaire that obviously pointed to depression. Well, no kidding! I'd feel a lot better if my body did what it's supposed to do. I'm hoping the future looks brighter now.

Anyway, thanks very much for your replies and encouragement.

Here's to your good health,
Mitch
