my Rosacea is gone!
Hi everybody,
I have finally figured out how to keep my Rosacea away.
I have had Rosacea since about 4 years, getting slowly progressively worse. I am, and have always been, convinced that in my case it is caused by a digestiary "problems".
About 15 years ago I did a 180 degree turn in lifestyle and since then I maintain a VERY healthy lifestyle: no read met, very high degree of vegetarian food, high olive oil intake, very low diary products, only drink water, no drugs & alcohol, no industrially prepared food - hence also no junk food, regular excercise etc. etc.
Since then I am almost never ill - max I get a cold every 2 or 3 years - and hence I was really surprised to be diagnosed with Rosacea. My mother also has it so the official explanation was then: it is hereditary (which I believe is the WRONG conclusion).
I have tried no treatment for the Rosacea - chemical or natural - but simply tried to experiment with what I eat and drink and its effect on the Rosacea. I found clear patterns, but was unable to brake the progress.
About 6 months ago I went to India for a 3 months stay. There I ate - BEWARE!!! - only local food and to my surprise my Rosacea problem disappeared after a few weeks. I was perplexed.
After I got back home it took about 2 weeks and the Rosacea was back where it had let off. I was disappointed.
After 1 month stay back home I went back to India for 2 weeks and within a few days the Rosacea disappeared. Now I knew i was on to something.
Once home again the Rosacea came back, but I was now on a hunt. I have been experimenting around like crazy and it turns out that in MY CASE what keeps the Rosacea symptoms at bay (not the same as curing) is Ghee!
I normally hate butter, but had noticed in India that I liked dishes cooked with Ghee. Strange, since the smell of Ghee itself makes me want to vomit.
My wife - who is an amaaaaazing cook - bought a can of "high quality" Ghee and began putting it into Indian dishes she learnt to cook in India. As you already guessed, I immediately noticed the change.
If you research the internet you will find that it is claimed that Ghee helps against Rosacea (but there are so many weird claims out there) and in my case it proved true.
I would very much like to know if anybody else has tried Ghee and what their experience was. In my case, the initial exposure to Ghee was about 10 days of "heavy" - i.e. 2 meals a day cooked with Ghee and I would eat "Rotis" dripping with Ghee - usage to notice the difference.
In my case Ghee turns out to be a bit of a magic potion - it is natural, there are no side effects, nobody will make money on your misery - so I can only recommend trying it.
Good luck!
