leaking ear wax.advice needed!

Has anyone experienced leaking ear wax? few months ago my left ear started leaking. then the right one started and let one stopped. went to see gp. she looked and said she cant see any irritation and that its just a normal wax discharge. but i dont believe its normal as i never had it before. the ears are itching and the leaking wax builds up crust which is painful to remove. what can it be and if anyone had that, what causes that??? not much info on the internet. need advice badly.
