Yep, I have the herpes virus. Don't know where I got it but I have it. The Bob Beck protocol really improved the situation. First two months I used the protocol herpes fought back real hard and I had two massive outbreaks. By massive I mean enough to scare the crap out of me but I continued the protocol. My last outbreak was about 4 months ago, was very minor and healed in just a couple of days. I don't know if the protocol can actually cure the virus or not. I do know it can control it. Maybe after using the protocol for a couple of years I just might beat the virus.

I think you will find it interesting. I believe it does really work but it doesn't work as fast and as well as most advertise. For the protocol to work you will need to use it consistently and for a long period of time like 1,2,3 or more years. Maybe even for the rest of your life.
An example might be: 6 months of 7 days a week. Take a month off and then another 6 months of 7 days a week.
After that, one week a month for maintenance.

As for Iodine, I use 2% Lugols brand. I bought a 16 ounce bottle for around $40 to $50. For me it was the best bang for the buck. 16 ounces of Iodine will last me a long time. I take it for general health and not to address any particular problem. I take 20 drops most every day which I believe is about 50 milligrams.
There seems to be a number of other Iodine available on this board that are of high quality also.
Like I said before, I was surprised when my Candida started going away! Before my tongue was really coated. Now I have just a little and can see mostly pink tongue.
