According to my friend Greg Ciola (The Crusador), fortication with larger amounts of D2 has been shown to lead to hardening of the arteries and heart disease.

I use sunshine and D3.  Just tossed out an old bottle of Vitamin D earlier today that I think I got at Wally Mart.  It said "Vitamin D" in the ingredients and whenever you see that you can pretty well bet that it is D2 instead of D3.
