You are doing the right thing. My first child has eczema. I followed the pediatricians nutrition guidelines: cereal at 4 moths, baby food etc etc. The when I had my second baby, I came to my senses and discovered the WAPF guidelines. My children are exclusively breast-fed until 6 months and all they got is coconut oil and cod liver oil At 6 months I introduced enzyme-rich bananas, egg yolks from 3.5 min soft-boiled eggs, and slowly added home-made veggies, fruits and meat. No grains until 2 years of age, and even then, properly prepared a la WAPF. Healthy fats will help heal a leaky gut while complex carbs make things worse. Babies don't have the proper enzymes to digest them except the carbs in breastmilk.
I guess HV will eventually answer your question about the herbs as I don't know anything about them, but I do know that everything you ingest will show up in your milk, so what you've been eating might be causing a problem in your baby. So it's a good idea to watch your diet, too.
