Re: One more positive report to share - or is that three positive reports?
I'm sorry to hear of your mother's condition. When I deal with lung cancer I first ask the patient if it is a single or multiple cancers. Then we explore if the patient had a striking death fear either for herself or for a loved one.
Then I ask what is the burden you can't bear?
The healing of lung cancer can be frightful if not understood. The cancer breaks down, there are infections, coughing and even chunks of tissue are coughed up. If the patient is not aware that this is part of the healing process, fear and even terror can cause the cancer to start up again.
A good strong healing phase takes about 2 months. The patient will be weak, sleep and cough a lot.
This of course depends whether the patient has thoroughly resolved the emotional issues that first triggered the illness.
It is most important that the patient eats a high protien diet in this phase as the body needs extra protein in the repair process. Keep an eye on the infections to see that they don't get out of hand.
