different salts for foot bath...

I have done the footbath using stainless steel spoons and nothing seemed to happen and I had used either reg. table salt or regular Sea Salt at that time and only 1 t. I think.
I saw the thread where a person used 2 graters and went a bought them today...cut off the handles and placed them about 1 inch apart and used 2 T. of Celtic Sea Salt , plus I took 1/2 niacin to open things up and today the water started turning dark and then the final color was pink. I did feel a short slight tingle on my left foot.
My question would be....could the colors come from the electricity interacting with the mineral contents of the salts?
I'm going to take another foot bath shortley and use a salt brine made from himalian salt and then tomorrow try a different salt and see what happens.
I did not have the physical results others talked about. I use a Far Infrared Sauna 2-3 times a week and that detoxes me a lot, so maybe that has made a difference. Thanks for any input to solve the question.
