Re: My flushing experience so far and them some

Looking forward to hearing the results of the cholesterol test! Doctors always give people 3 months to try to improve their diet, then put them on statin drugs. Psyllium husk is insoluble fiber. It cleanses the colon, which improves the effectiveness of liver flushing.

Ever wondered how people who are on very low fat diets, with no animal foods, can end up with high cholesterol? The answer is that their livers are producing it. Soluble fiber may reduce the amount of cholesterol produced in the liver. The liver produces cholesterol to bind toxins. If you have enough soluble fiber in your diet, fiber can be used to bind toxins, so the liver need not produce so much cholesterol.

Oat bran is high in soluble fiber, as are apples, ground flax seeed, etc. As a supplement, try pectin. Anything to avoid the dreaded statin!
