Re: discovered mold in tubing
This is not at all uncommon, especially when as you have experienced the equipment has not been used in a while. The best thing is to buy new tubing or a completely new enema set.
However, if you need an enema right away you can fill the bag or can with a mixture of water and bleach and let about 1/3 rd of the water run out and then clamp the tubing shut and let it sit for an hour or so.
Then run another third of the water out, stop the flow and wait another hour and let the remaining water empty. Refill the bag with plain water and run it through the tubing until it empties. Repeat one or two more times before using for an enema.
But it's best to buy new, especially if you see a lot of mold coming out with the bleach solution.
In the future whenever you use your enema bag be sure to clean it thoroughly afterwards and rinse the tubing at least twice with warm tapwater. Then hang it in a well ventilated area for several days until it's completely dry. Don't hang it in a dark closet or hide it away under some towels if it's not completely dry.
There is nothing to be embarrassed about having an enema bag hanging on the back of your bathroom door.
