No sir, and other thinks n' thoughts...Re: Quickie question for Uny, answer will help dozens...
Uny, you mentioned some months back that the liver can "hold" old or pent-up adrenal stress...could you give us out here in adrenal land maybe three paragraphs on how or why that happens? Incorrect Sir No Unicorns - I did not every say the liver holds old or pent-up adrenal stress...what I said is below (from this thread: http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1592291#i1 )
>>>I'd don't know what self-appointed liver-sheriff of the world created a mandate about precisely how many days should be between the times when one unclogs a severely clogged organ, but methinks your liver, gallbladder and your doctor within should gang-up on him and let out some of that pent-up adrenal stress :) <<<
Explaining above: since you were always a-sayin' and claimin' various things about how your adrenal-stress issues caused you to fly off the handle and 'whomp on others', and since I know that as long as you're taking Effexor & slugging down coffee (both which cause & enhance adrenal issues), I just thought I'd cutely suggest that you use some of that extra pent-up adrenal stress to gang up on the imaginary person that created the two-week liver flushing rule.
I didn't say that anyone's liver 'saves up' adrenal stress
HOWEVER, Asian & Ayurvedic medicine know the liver as 'the seat of emotions' (some say "anger" particularly)...and it's VERY common that when people start cleansing & restoring their liver, they release decades of emotions and become more stable emotionally.
NU, as you continue down your healing pathways, please remember that Adrenal Fatigue & Distress are not "diseases" - AF and AD are symptoms of emotional, physical & chemical stress. Treating the symptoms without addressing or removing the underlying cause, is not only backward...it can cause damage or mis-direction. I realized you've undercovered and are addressing emotional issues due to NPD, but I keep hearing nothing about getting off the Effexor and I'm still seeing that you're drinking coffee.
So on the one hand, your forcing your adrenals to be 'calm' with supplements, and on the other hand you're hitting them with a hammer. That's not too wise, imo.
Thinking here: I recall you mentioning something about "low clearance" and your liver due to the adrenal issues. Yes, they're associated - but considering the huge amount of stress both Effexor and caffeine put on your adrenals AND your liver...and that a clogged, congested, compromised liver is extremely "low clearance" (with or without adrenal issues) - well, please be very careful & discerning while walking your healing pathways.
The first step in true healing is to stop doing or ingesting what makes you sick. If you'll review the histories of many people on this forum that are older and extremely ill (and if I could only share the dozens I've helped personally)...you'll see the vast majority are those who have spent years/decades and tens of thousands of dollars with 'alternative medicine', with many positive 'windows', but a steady decline...until they find themselves in a position (emotionally, physically, financially) that makes true healing FAR more difficult & challenging than it ever would have been in the first few years.
It's SO easy for this to happen with allopathic/alternative medicine, because the drugs and/or isolated supplements/supplements ARE "effective"...they band-aid symptoms so one can continue with unhealthy choices & habits/addictions. But nothing will heal the body if we continue doing what makes the body sick.
Be wise!
Blessings (and concern),
Uny
