This is sad to hear about these beautiful creatures. At the moment I have hundreds of these butterflies around my house and garden, they are a delight to watch.

I have planted many shrubs that they like such as buddlias, flowering herbs and native flowering plants. There is a lot of milkweed around this area, and they breed well.

This is one of several, that are in my garden this afternoon, feeding on a white buddlia.
