how can i believe in traditional medicine?

HOW CAN I BELIEVE IN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE?

Yes, my first name is Ainoah and I am not going into hiding for what I will here say. I am 69 years old, have lived 68 years without ever having flu, stomach ache, nausea, an operation or medical treatment. I have a huge advantage I have recently discovered, I am intelligent and live in the country that gives origin to the Amazon River, thus I have contact with the natives who live in the Amazon Jungle and practice natural medicine.

By late April 2009 I sold my house and moved to a new apartment, I had been doing quite heavy weight lifting and moving furniture around then I had a slight vaginal haemorrhage. All of a sudden and two days latter, in May 2009, I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer stage 2, though I did not meet the diagnosis criteria for that issue, I did my homework. I told the oncologist I did not see the tumour he was mentioning on the screen, he said “it is quite small but it is there and you must have had it for at least 15 years” maybe it was small and invisible as well. I immediately had a colcoscopy, two biopsies and a Pap smear. The results were back in 3 days; I know they should have taken longer. Then I was diagnosed as said, I have never seen the pathologist’s results he never showed them to me. Pressed by my only son and in a mad rush in 6 days from the colcoscopy I was in chemo and radiotherapies. When done I also had 3 days each for 3 times of brachytherapies which are terrible.

I did well through the treatments because I was very careful with my diet I fractioned each meal in two, thus I had 8 small meals a day, took vitamins, exercised and had lots of natural herbs including algae, lots of fluids and requested an IV a day later to chemotherapy. each and every time. By September 2009 the treatment was finished and the tumour was gone, ¡A MIRACLE! Since then I am having my follow ups each 3 months. Little did I know that in a couple o months I was to expect such terrible side effects. I noticed my eyesight was poor had lost almost 50% of it, had a dry eye syndrome, my hearing was very poor and much noise in my ears, short term memory loss which is getting worse by the day, permanent diarrhoea, stomach cramps, horrible joint and muscle pains, osteoporosis, burning feet and the cherry on the pie was I was dizzy and lacking stability.

I did not say a word to the Oncology team, I went to a specialist in each area and had a diagnosis but unfortunately and according to each specialist there was no cure for some of the problems, I could buy new glasses, use natural eye drops, change my diet, practice Taichi and keep on taking vitamins and more so for my bones. Some of them said to take some pain killers; I did not accept the pain killers. I travelled to the Amazon Jungle and met with my friends the Yagua native tribe they provided me with certain herbs which I am taking and are helping a lot.

Two months after the previous experience, the Gynaecologist/Oncologist said I needed a mammogram, I had that one. In less than 6 hours I was in hospital having a surgical biopsy of my breast and I was to stay in hospital till the pathology results returned. I have never seen a paper, image or even my mammogram. In two additional days those results were back, I had mini calcifications which had clustered in two large areas, the surgeon gave me three choices: 1] chemotherapy and Tamoxifen 2] chemo and radiotherapy 3] A simple radical mastectomy. I had to make up my mind right away because the surgeon was travelling to Europe. I thought deep and easy and decided on the mastectomy. He did not expect me to choose that, he tried to convince me but I said I want it out. So in I was taken to the operation table, when I woke up I was told he had also taken the Sentinel and two other lymph nodes and that he was expecting the pathology report. The surgeon said “you are cured” but I need you to take a pill to avoid complications, I said a metastasis right? I asked what pill? He then mentioned Tamoxifen. I explained I could not take it due to the side effects and the huge possibility of a recurring cervical cancer or other in the area. He stared at me and I only said “I have researched a lot”. He called the chemotherapist they talked and I was sent to see him.

I had four days till my appointment. I researched all the AI s and side effects. I paid over the Internet to a UK and a German Cancer diagnosis and treatment centers as well as to the Harvard Breast Cancer Center, I asked about this issue without comments. They did not agree with the mastectomy I had had, or with my using AI s. I went to see the chemotherapist and he tried by all means to have me take any of the 11 names he mentioned, all I said was read this: and handed him the papers I had from abroad plus all the info I printed from the Internet regarding the side effects on each one of the drugs he mentioned. He became very nervous; I said I want you to provide me with a “life expectancy chart” right now. He then looked amazed and said, how do you know about the chart? I again said “I research a lot”. He got on his laptop and provided me with the chart, it said: without any further treatments, 12 to 15 years cancer free, a gain of 1% with chemotherapy and 1% gain if I took any AI. I last said "for 1% I am not going to live in pain and desperation. I am 69 + say 10 years it adds up to 79 why live longer and in pain, no way I am dropping the treatment and I am sorry to say I have lost all faith in the traditional medicine community".

The scar I have is a shame for that surgeon I am taking him to court so he will pay a plastic surgery in Brazil, not a reconstruction which I denied from the begining. About 22 days ago I switched to an Alternative Medicine doctor. He first tested me for just about any toxic issues in any part of my body. Once he knew what was going on I began a very light treatment to clean my body from toxins and radioactive stuff. He changed my diet a little bit adding blue fish, more algae and many more vitamins and natural products. He said to continue with my exercises and to visit a Rheumatologist who he referred me to. That is what I am doing right now but I know so much more. The oncology team members are calling me frequently all I ever say is “I don’t trust you people I have lost faith in the medical community specially Oncologists, you are the “Cancer Cartel”.

If there is any advice someone can provide me I will certainly appreciate it as long as I don’t have to go back to the “Cancer Cartel”.
