Re: Pulse problem, day 10th
A lot of issues contributing to blood pressure benefit from the water fast. (and of course eating according to the natural hygiene principles. The more you(one) learn(s) about this, the more it all makes sense, and the more you water fast, the more desirable this way of living and eating feels--which is a really nice thing.
Hawthorn berries are a great heart strenghtener and regulator. Tincture or tea... Do you eat garlic? It's also very good. I personally am a strong believer in letting food (whether herb, vegetable, fruit, nut, fermented and cultured foods)be one's medicine, and in doing all that I can, myself, with whole foods. I don't take any supplements that are manufactured, though I am sure they can be a help to people at certain times. I know Chris is very fond of Intramax--and it seems to have a good reputation. For me, it's both too expensive, and just not the way I want to go. I still -perhaps idealistically- believe that optimal health ought to be available to all, and not be something that only a small percentage of us can afford. I do take kelp and blackstrap molasses and apple cider vinegar, etc. and get a LOT of synergistic nutrition from just these.
I suppose some people might call them supplements, especailly if they don't enjoy the taste--but for me, they are whole foods. I guess I'm rather old-fashioned that way. :-)
Oh--and sun is something we all need a lot of. We've been lied to for years about the damage it causes. If we don't get enough, then we might need to supplement. Basically, I'd like the think any (storebought, prepared) supplement
be taken only for a short time, more a as way to buy a little time to get more on track.
Anyway, these are just a few of my thoughts, for what it's worth. Yours might be different.
