Re: Juice fast with blendtec?

It definitely works. Look up Angela Stokes on youtube. She used to use a blender like a blendtec or vitamix (I think hers was a vitamix), blend up the fruit/vegetables/greens/whatever with water, then pour the contents into a nut milk bag, squeeze until all the juice is strained through the bag and only the wet pulp is left in the bag.

This is what I do when I make juice. I have a decent auger juicer, too. An Omega 8003 (I think that is the model number). But I actually get more juice and less pulp by using my vitamix and a nutmilk bag than by using the juicer. Plus, it is faster for me, with an easier cleanup. I always put a cup or two of water in with the stuff to be blended, as it makes it easier to strain the stuff through the bag, and I am going to put water in the final mix, anyways. Here is a video:

You can use nut milk bags, or you can get paint strainer bags at a DIY store, such as Home Depot.

You will also get much more of the pulp out of the juice by straining it through a nutmilk bag than by straining it through wire mesh. Very good, since any pulp is bad on a juice fast.

Happy fasting. :)
