Re: Debunking Health Myths and some questions..
Uny,
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to answers my questions so thoroughly. I will read through all of this info- definitely there is more I must learn! It absolutely makes sense that the healthy bacteria cannot repopulate and thrive on the decaying matter. This is definitely an issue in my gut. I have made some strides in this regard, and there is much more to do.
I did experiment with having regular yogurt in my diet- I found that if I used organic, no more than 1/2 cup a day, I would not react to it. But, when I would have more, or not organic, I would react badly. So I am sure in the end, this is not wise for me to consume altogether, as I want to able to have as much as I need of whatever source I choose.
I will look for kombucha or something similar in my health food store today- at least something to tide me over until I can have the water kefir grains to culture my own probiotic drink. I'll also start focusing on the pre-biotics, as besides garlic and bananas, I hardly ever consume the other foods!
I have one more question regarding food: I have read that garlic and cayenne can be 'stimulants' to the body- especially by some leaders in the raw food community. What do you think about this? I definitely notice the kinds of effects they have on my body- I assume this is die off, but I wonder sometimes, especially when the symptoms are tremendous pain/fatigue/foggyness- mostly all of the above at the same time! It can be quite incapacitating though...
I normally ride it out, and then when it's time for my next dose, I ride it out again, lol.
Thanks so much,
Teresa.
