I had an infected sebaceous cyst

I had infected sebaceous cyst two inchses below the neck.I went to doctor , she said its hair follicle infection and gave me a medicine called Advent 625 mg .Its an antibiotic.She said 90% the infection will subside.Took it for 5 days.Nothing happened.I also kept taking hot compresses.After 5 days when it didnt subside I went to homeopathic doc as I has read about homeopathic meds on internet.I took it for two days.But seeing no improvment I went to a hospital and showed a new doc.She sent me to a general surgeon who said that its a sebaceous cyst and has to be removed.Then I got to know its a sebaceous cyst.Till that time I thot its hair follicle infection as the previous doc had said.

The next day I got it removed.Doc coudnt remove it in whole piece but he said he had tried to remove each and every part of it.It was done under local anestaisia.The prick of needle pained a little.But then it was numb.After surgery(took 15 20 mins) they dressed the wound and put two stitches.Its been 5 days and stitches are still there.Have to goto doc after 4 days now.

Let me tell you it pained when the local anestaisa subsided but it was tolerable and in 2 hours pain subsided.The next day there was no pain.I was really worried abt needles and pain but was happy that it was not painful.:)
