Lemongrass tea - using instead of water in heavy endurance physical body activity
Hello dear curezone collegues,
I am considering using great amounts of lemongrass tea instead of water in some long-distance endurance body activity. During activity I am conisdering to replace fluid loss with lemongrass tea. From time to time I plan to add dried barleygrass powder to the lemongrass tea.
Could this combination or using lemongrass tea have any side effects that could affect performance during activity.
What I have in mind?
1) possible tannins in the tea that could lower absorption of
calcium, magnesium or iron?
2) other possible anti-nutrients in lemongrass tea that I am not aware off that could on 24hrs heavy physical activity influence on depletion of any kind of nutrients - affect on bioavailiblity of nutrients in other meals ( saturated fats ).
During this activity absorption of fats is essential and on second place absorption of carbo hydrates ?
3. Polyphenols suppose to have positive influence...
What I am thinking that lactic acid should have normal way of decomposing - it suppose to work as energy reserve as I read...so alkalizing with tea during physical activity
( not after but during ) what does it mean as matter of fact?
Thank you for any clue, hint or direction, experience,...
