Is "God" Separate?

Hunter made a statement that I want to flesh out so I started a new thread. (this is a repeat of my response to him and hopefully the beginning of a fruitful discussion.

One of many.

My question for you on this fine day is...

Do you currently believe that "god" is a separate entity or is "god" actually everything that exists and not separate from "itself."

I would find exploring this quite interesting. Perhaps we should start a new thread? Welcome to it;-)

It is interesting that many books considered for the bible while it was under construction (by men)were discarded because they did not align with the canon (editors) agenda. makes me wonder what ancient texts are being sat on and not being revealed to the public. Things that may suggest reincarnation, etc(Book of Thomas).
In this thread, I suggest to all participating that we will get further if we can just explore information without shooting forum members in the process (through personal attacks and assumptions). Can bullet proof vests be shelved for the time being?

So then what are your thoughts on God as an entity vs god as metaphor for all things (infinite potential/energy)?
