Thank you uny-Re: Antibiotics, Popsicles & children - major dose of Truth enclosed. Re: Way back when...Re: ok.this is what I got

Thank you Uny for this post. It really builds onto how I feel. I was raised NOT to go the doctor. You sit it out on the couch and sweat it out or whatever. I occasionally got sick like any kid but I always got over it,no biggie. The first time I ever went to the doctor(besides when I was born) was when I was 15. i thought I had strep, i didnt. Just the same old sinus infection I got every year but it was a painful. I was dissapointed when I went cause I had broke my "never went to a doc" thing, lol.
Id say my daughter (now 3) has been very healthy. Shes had a runny nose maybe three times in her life. She tends to have 24 hr type viral things. Fever, maybe dirrhea and then she usually throws up, and ten minutes later shes jumping up and down and back to her old self. Since thats the case I feel very strongly about not giving fever reducers or any basic meds.

Anyways, in NOT trying to toot my own horn here. Just saying I appreciate the encouragement. Makes me feel better among all these other VERY sick kids that take tons of meds but their mothers look at me sideways when I explain how a fever works!!!!
