re defensiveness, well, who knows. it depends on how you look at it. not everyone approaches this objectively, but rather, already have a conclusion in mind and are just looking for ways to support their point. i have no interest in helping out that sort of endevor. this is how the mainstream typically views any alternative treatment. such treatments have to endure years of abusive tactics, missinformation ect before they are accepted. accupuncture is a case in point. this is especially true where no money could be made from the treatment, or where the treatment could eliminate a host of illnesses that provide a steady stream of sick patients to fuel a system's constant need for more money. you get where i'm going. there are many vested interests who have no interest in people getting healthy, whether through diet, cleansing or otherwise.
