Oleander and Life Extension Magazine

I was looking through my latest (April) issue of the Life Extension magazine (whose primary theme is cancer treatments) last night and found an article and chart on page 13 about a 66 year old man who came to LEF with stage IV lung cancer with mets to the brain.  On the chart, it shows that he was initially given a combination of Cisplatin, Alimta and "Arvizel" and his CEA levels began to drop immediately.  Then a few weeks later he was given Alimta, "Arvizel" and Immune 26 and the markers dropped even further.  Ultimately the markers dropped from 498 all the way down to 25.9 over a period of about ten months, at which point he was given Gc macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF) and the levels continued to decline to 17.9.

HOWEVER, in the copy above the chart it says:

"Therapy was initiated using conventional drugs (Cisplatin and Alimta (permetrexed) combined with the immune enhancing agent Anvirzel."

I can find no reference via Google search to anything named "Arvizel", and when I called Life Extension they said that apparently the "Arvizel" in the chart was likely a typo, so I am pretty sure that they were talking about none other than the oleander medicine Anvirzel, which the home made "oleander soup" is modeled after as are the Sutherlandia OPC and Rose Laurel OPC Plus supplements.
