I agree with you that five years ago this was indeed a very vibrant forum. Hopefully it will be one again. However, I have to disagree with you in the following:

This forum may have lost its previous prolific input as well as many posters, but it was never a place for what you describe above. (Check the Archives) Yes, there certainly have been a number of posters with rather "unique" takes on Bible interpretation, but the reason that forums such as Enlightened Christianity, God Minus Religion, Feng-Shui, Consciousness, Dogma, Spirituality, Gnostic Support, Ex-Christians, Yoga, Five Tibetans etc., and a host of othes I can not remember off the top of my head and the religious debate forums were created, was precisely to accomodate all those "others".
I get the feeling though, that many who are around Curezone today have no idea what terrible battles were fought in order for Christians to be able to have their forum without constant bombardment from oponents. Much like the situation in the US today, many take for granted the many sacrifices that were taken in years past by a few, to guarantee freedom for all of us today. *sigh!*
