I've read positive things about the Buteyko method, but it all seems so secretive, making it seem like a scam for making money.

The CO2 explanation itself also seems a little too simplistic. If excessive breathing leading to too little CO2 is the cause of asthma, then how come just breathing into a paper bag like with hyperventilation doesn't reverse an asthma attack?
