This is the account of Jesus and the woman at the well. She was a Samaritan and Jesus was telling her that all the old rivalries would be no longer and all the controversy about Mount Gerizim and Mount Zion would soon be history.

Jesus told her that the Samaritans were worshiping out of ignorance. The Samaritans accepted only the Pentateuch, the first five books of the old testament and rejected all the rest of the old testament. So they basically rejected all the wonderful messages of the prophets. They had cut out portions of truth that was available to them.

Jesus was saying that now God could be worshiped anywhere and the Jewish people have a special place in God's plan.
