I believe what the bible says, as well as I can understand it. I believe the whole bible, not just the red letters.

sure, I will agree that you don't have to be a christian to have a chat with Jesus. Judas the Iscariot chatted with Jesus. So did satan. Pontas Pilot chatted with Jesus. Non of these were christians.
