That was a very interesting read.
In my personal experience singing, chanting and bhajan singing (the latter being classical indian music combined with mantras praising and connecting with All THAT IS) has re-wired my brain, even tho I´ve never suffered a stroke. This does not mean reading from a choir book and being "distracted" with reading the words right and hitting the right tune. It´s more like feeling the melody and "knowing" that one is connecting to one´s real self. Best done with eyes closed.
