Unfortunately this was popularized by Kevin Trudeau who just went out to websites, including mine and stole information to put in his book without having a clue of how things worked, if they worked such as the bogus liver flushes or if there were any safety issues. He is not a scientist nor does he have a medical background. So all he can do is steal information from internet sites and hope it is true and effective.

My biggest concern is with younger women doing this, especially if they plan to have kids in the future. The same applies to the HCG vaccines they were experimenting with years ago to fight cancer. If anti-HCG antibodies are being produced then these antibodies could tag any developing fetus for destruction by the immune system leading to spontaneous abortions (miscarriage). A potential side effect I have not seen mentioned by Trudeau or any of the clinics promoting this procedure.
