Winter Wonderland...Off Topic..+Edit

We don't get much snow where I live so this week has been an absolute blast in every way possible because we actually got enough snow for me to go out and play in!  I thought I would share some of my pics with you, I know this won't be a big deal to some but believe me when I tell you its been a HUGE deal for me and made me so very happy!!!!

I'll put them in more than one post so they won't take so long to load.

The first ones are of birds eating corn that we feed the deer, red foxes and raccoons.  I was amazed when the Cardinal and the Red Headed Woodpecker came together in the same pile.  My husband calls them "peckerwoods" lol.

Edit:  The reason I took the pictures of the birds is because I was standing at the kitchen window looking out and saw that as soon as my husband fed the deer all the birds gathered on the piles of corn but they weren't eating the corn and I thought that was strange.  Usually in the morning all the birds come and pick up all the little cracklins (small pieces for you northerners lol) the deer have left the night before.  I watched them for a long time until it finally dawned on me that they were sitting on the corn for warmth lol.  Just sittin there lol.  How cool is that?  After a little while the Cardinal went over to the Woodpeckers pile and they just sat there together!

Isn't it wonderful to be able to feel such joy at something so small as birds sharing a warm pile of corn?  Lolololol!  Yes, its wonderful!
