Re: How Many Of You Have A Psychological Disorder?
The condition started during a time of severe acute anxiety and chronic depression. And following what Ronin said, I tested positive for herpes at that time and became obsessive and severely depressed.
Later the test results became "inconclusive," and I discovered both my parents have herpes so I likely have it in my ganglia even though I never get cold sores. At a later HIV test (negative), I asked the doctor and he said this was definitely NOT herpes. The oral pathologist said it was not contagious, and nobody I have kissed since has gotten it (on the contrary, two claimed to have seasonal cases of it as far back as they could remember, and haven't said anything about it becoming chronic for them since)
I have never sought a psychiatrist because I am generally against the whole establishment, and because I have supportive friends and family to talk to about my issues. But I might try anti-depressants in a couple years if all else fails. That and surgery are the last resorts. I think I would spend the money to move to Asia and get decent affordable healthcare before then :)
Peace,
C.S.
