TOF,
I burned my hand long time ago with hot oil which jumped the pot and lite on fire in flight, landing on my hand. Several attempts of chef, bartender, company dr landed me at a plastic surgeon's office. After cleaning the wound, there were small third degree burns and mostly 2nd degree burns. I bypassed the oral antibiotics (didn't tell him that!), I did use the antibiotic gel on my hand. I started immediately taking vitamin C 1,000 mil. hourly till I couldn't take it amymore (diarrehea will let you know when to back off) and vitamin E. As soon as new skin formed, I got a bottle of vitamin E oil and would dress the wound with vitamin E oil. The dr could not believe how fast I healed and how quickly the redness went ago. This was before I had any chronic stuff going on and before I ever needed to be doing liver flushes. If you had any disease of any kind going on and you are battling the burn you may have to add some immune boosters. But a really good natural vitamin C will do some great things. It was a long time before I could stand any thing hot near my hand. After the new skin grew back (and even before) I took bathes with baking soda in the water. I learned to take very short baths, cause over a certain temperature and my hand could not stand it;-) Hope some of these suggestions work for you.
