Drugs cause hundreds of millions of dollars every year in lost
productivity. Even more is spent on Emergency room care for overdoses, etc. Rural states are going bankrupt taking care of the children of the meth addicts. Identity theft is rampant and the meth addicts are the ones responsible for 80% of that particular crime. Then there is regular theft. How safe would your neighborhood be if there was no enforcement of drug laws? Drug enforcement and non enforcement affects you directly...especially your pocketbook.
