Re: Acute gastroenteritis was actually something else now
My 8 year old was having a similar problem this past summer and I consulted with MH a lot on it. It started out as a nasty gastroenteritis bit, then returned as a VERY high fever every two weeks 5 times. They ran a battery of blood tests and they never figured it out, but we were able to get it to stop by following MH's advice. He was also not having good bowel movements and that's the part I was going to share with you.
MH said that he wasn't digesting his food well, and suggested I go buy a big bag of baby food jars. He said let him eat as much as he wants of any of the fruits and sweet potato, until he is having regular bowel movements, 1-2 a day. It worked after about 3 days he was having regular movements and still does have at least one a day now even though he has returned to eating whole fruits and vegetables, nuts, salads, etc, now.
This was what solved the bowel problem, getting the returning fevers to stop and not come back involved the whole diet change in the first place, along with daily hot baths, daily oregano and olive leaf, daily PICA.
I don't think MH recommends giving LBB to kids, he told me "Kids are not grown ups!"
I know you have somewhat different problems going on with your little buddy, but I thought my experience with the baby food might help you guys.
Blesssings! Laurie
