What do you think?
Hv, what is your opinion on supplementation of iodine?
Also, I find this part of your post's contents too vague and misleading per reference #22:
"Another report of a 24 year old woman developing thyroid goiter after taking a proprietary product, which included 0.4-0.5mg/day of
Iodine for three months."
Goiter is usually the deficiency of iodine. We can only speculate as to the nature of her goiter development.
I found this quote elsewhere interesting and would like to hear your thoughts:
"Although the lack of
Iodine is the principal cause of soybean goiter, raw soybeans, which contain more
Iodine than either solvent -extracted soy flour or glycinin, produce greater thyroid hypertrophy. This observation suggests that raw soybeans have a goitrogenic activity (goitrogen?) which is removed or destroyed during processing."
