Re: Ah yes, the Experts!

It's funny you say that, about 6 months ago, i asked if anyone ever tried a zero-carb diet, and that Hv person wrote scientific babble against that diet. I still tried it and i've never felt better.

And chemotherapy can make a cancer patient feel better as well. Does this make it safe or good?

Any extreme diet can cause problems in the long run. I have seen numerous people swear by raw food diets, and not one of them is healthy or looks healthy. Then there are the strict vegetarians that claim they feel so much better on this diet until their B12 stores run out in a few years and they end up with B12 deficiency anemia.

And yes, high protein can be a problem as well. Especially with the uric acid and calcium load it can put on the kidneys. And where does that calcium part come from? The bones. Protein blocks calcium absorption, and high protein can lead to bone loss through the phosphorus in many protein sources and the acidity it causes. So come back here in a few years and tell us all how great you feel with your osteoporosis or kidney stones.
