Re: I am missing something?

Nice post Rudi.  There are many who have experienced life in a loin cloth on a mountain top contemplating their navel, but that's not why we are here.  We are here to return our energies to ourselves which we have in previous lives scattered all over the planet.  I don't believe that there is a "lesser part" of god.  I was once in the office of a physician who believed in spirit and on the wall of his waiting room was the framed quotation which read: "Do you love someone so much that you will let them do anything they wish?"  That is love at the highest level.  This is a free will planet and god is letting us do anything we wish to do and many are stuck on things that go along with a body which is greed, hate, and retribution.  God is allowing it all because s/he loves us.  Love is the most misunderstood word or concept on the planet with most everyone believing it to be only "good."

Spirit is responsible for everything that happens in our lives - even if it allows body to be in control, spirit is still responsible.  When you recognize yourself as spirit it is a matter of finding a balance between sitting in a loin cloth on the mountain top or lying in the gutter with a wine bottle.  There is balance, and it is something that needs constant attention.  Our body is our temple and it is continuously communicating to spirit through emotions and feelings.

I was raised in a world that you have alluded to in a number of your postings.  I was raised in a hell and damnation Pentecostal home by a minister who ruled in the name of god by the razor strap which hung in view on a hook.  I was led to believe that every time I was yelled at or hit it was because I had somehow violated god because that was exactly what I was told.  I knew I couldn't live the perfect life and not only abandoned it after I left home, but rebelled against it completely.  Then somewhere around age 35 or so I began a quest for self-discovery even though I didn't know it at the time.  I tried psychiatry, Silva Mind Control, reevaluation counseling, and many other things that assisted me for a while, but never for long - until I found a form of meditation that taught me that I am an eternal spirit on my path back to god.  That was more than 30 years ago.  I didn't even believe it at first but practiced what I was taught because it gave me a lot of the relief that I'd been looking for and even more important I could practice what I learned about spirit not only at home but in all of my daily activities.

What I found Rudi was that I have an energy system including chakras and grounding and that I as spirit can take up residence in the body - instead of being out of my body most of the time.  René Descartes was indeed correct that the pineal gland is the seat of the soul.  That's near where you as spirit can reside as you take control of your body in a space of non-judgmental neutrality.  It is grounding and practicing grounding constantly that gets you there and keeps you there.

It took a while for me to experience my grounding and my chakras but I am now aware of them all the time.  I have spiritual techniques for keeping them cleaned out of debilitating energies that try to inhabit them.  I don't "believe" that I'm spirit, I know that I'm sprit because I experience myself as spirit in my body all the time.  Does that make me perfect?  Hell no!  God didn't create anyone to be perfect.  However, it does mean that I can devote time to spirit and time to body and work at finding a balance between the two - and that's a constant objective.  I still create problems and I still seek spiritual solutions, most of which I do find.

Rudi, you do know that you are spirit which is something that the vast majority of people on the planet deny.  From your post you are seeking a balance between spirit and body which is great.  One of the major lessons that I continue to learn on a daily basis is that I am not responsible for what others do, I am only responsible for myself.  So when I look out and see all the greed, hate and cruelty in others, I have to work on those things within myself.  In the process I've found that I have to give to body too whether it is to simply recognize that I have to pee - and do it before I pee my pants, or whether its taking a walk with my binoculars and look for interesting birds, or go out to dinner or buy a new shirt, while at the same time practicing my daily meditation and constantly recognizing that I'm but one spirit amongst zillions here on Schoolhouse Earth who are doing the same thing, whether they know it or not.
