Question

Im just very confused about this virus --then again im not a scientist or doctor but what im under the impression that the virus goes into hiding in the base of your spine and then surfaces again when the immune system is down -What confuses me is that they say that it always migrates to the place of initial infection-- How does it know to go to that area and if so maybe the answer is to redirect the path and force the outbreak into a different location --
