well i just slop it on until theres a thick coat on my lips. It usually begins to run down my face, so i have to keep wiping it with a paper towel which gets pretty annoying. I usually just apply more when the coat seems to get too thin, really its up to you how many times you keep reapplying it. Try too keep away from moisture though, because this seems to help the bacteria begin to spread again. Tweet
