Re: Frequent urination

There are different reasons depending on the cause.

A spastic bladder will make the bladder feel full when it is not.

Diabetes leads to frequent urination due to the body dumping glucose, which is very hygroscopic. So as the glucose is eliminated it carries water with it.

Drinking purified waters leads to more frequent urination since it enters the body at a faster rate. But too much water in the body is dangerous so the body tries to eliminate the water as fast as it can.

Green tea contains a small amount of caffeine, which is a diuretic.

Foods or drinks high in potassium are also naturally diuretic.

Stress can increase heart rate pumping more blood through the kidneys leading to more water removal. This also occurs when we are cold since blood gets shunted away from the skin to the organs.

And a lack of vasopressin (anti-diuretic hormone) also leads to increased urination. A condition known as diabetes insipidus.
