Slippery elm tea is quite mucilaginous and is supposed to be good for diarrhea as well as constipation. I found a link that recommended adding chamomile to help with cramps. You could try breaking up a capsule or two of slippery elm in a small cup of chamomile tea and adding that to some prune juice after it cools. I used slippery elm on some very young (3 weeks) rescued kittens who were suffering from diarrhea. It helped until the antibiotics kicked in and took care of the infection. They tolerated it well.
