How do I reconcile this in regard to the Law of Attraction?

I have gotten tremendous help from this forum. Thank you all who have given such wonderful advice. Maya, you have been wonderful!

Now...I do have a question...In all my readings, watching videos, listening to "The Secret" on CD, one common theme comes up and that is this --- You are told not to keep up with the news be it from TV, internet or newspapers.

I have somewhat of a problem with this in that I believe it is important to know what is going on around you. Also, there are some causes I'm passionate about because, without going into too much detail, I want to do all I can as one person to make sure my country is still a good place for my child and grandchildren. If one day things take a turn for the worse, I want to be able to tell them that I did all that I could do to prevent that from happening.

OK...I know that keeping up with the news can sometimes just about give one apoplexy and getting riled up takes one out of the vortex. So, with all that in mind, I ask this---
While I'm working on manifesting our move to my favorite city, should I take a break from being civically involved? Should I right now direct all my energies to staying in the vortex? In other words, once I've manifested this move, then put my energies once again back into effecting positive change in the world around me? Tweet
