Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, What are your plans?
I remember New Year's eve in America as parties, dancing, and watching the big clock in New York. Well I am not in America anymore, Dick Clarke is not the MC of the ball dropping and I have not danced in ages.
So as I reflect back on my past year I am amazed. I conquered many illness, survived huge worm invasions and got a job writing, lol, if they don't fire me soon. I have been able to accomplish many things in my home. Have many new appliances, new carpets and curtains, new electric and plumbing in my home and my baby is alive.
It was also a tough year losing my cherished friend Precious. She was the light of my life and she brought me happiness. I never realized how much she meant to me until she was gone. A cat who loved me more than life and I am sad to think about her last moments but in the end Allah decided not me what was going to happen to her. I can only thank him for the years I had with her. Life is short and it brings me problems.
We want to send our prayers out to Marilyn Brent as she faces many trials these days and all the ones on the forums suffering with illnesses. We want to thank those who supported us always during this past year and we want to forgive those who offended us. No you guys are still banned. I learned my lesson on that scope.
I also want to remember 911 on this day. It means a lot to me and it has special meaning to me. As the smoke disappeared we as Americans lost much. As they dug the bodies out of the sute we buried some here too. 4 months after 911 I lost my husband. A man who I cherished so much and who I miss so much today.
I have to thank Allah for so much and I am so humbled. The last week I have been very busy refurbishing my home. I had an electrical fire and the wiring had to be replaced in my home. I also had to replace my plumbing. It was both expensive and necessary but now my home is good. I am looking to put dead bolts on my doors now.
I am trying to think what I will do tomorrow and not for sure but for one thing I will do and that is thank Allah for all the good and the bad. As you watch the ball drop or just plain get sauced, make some new years resolutions and try at least to keep one of them.
