Esophageal Varices, Stomach Problems, Portal Hypertension
HI everyone, I have portal hypertension of the liver, along with an enlarged spleen caused by portal hypertension, these problems weren't caused by hep. c. or by cirrhosis of the liver or anything like that. I was born prematurely and the drugs they gave me to save me caused the portal vein to my liver to have complete blockage. My body has adapted and formed capillary veins around the blockage however. But at the same time this has caused varicose veins to form in my abdomen, stomach, and esophagus. I'd like to decrease the size of theses veins if possible, and heal some the blockages (don't know if that's possible though).
The esophageal varices are also causing narrowing of my esophagus. My doctor put me on nexium to help my reduce the acid in my stomach to keep the varicose veins in check. However I don't want to be on nexium forever, b/c I know how horrible it is for digestion (I've tried acv it doesn't work for me). I think that some of my stomach problems lactose intolerance and some chrohn's like symptoms may have been caused by the lack of acid in my stomach. I just want to get to the root of my problems.
Is there anything that can help heal varicose veins, and ease blockage? (I've read about the herb butcher's broom possibley being able to do this) I've also been reading the Berkson clinical study (although I don't have hep. c.), and patient #1 in the study seems to have been helped by the protocol suggested there with many of the same issues I have. Do you think that protocol could help?

Does anyone else know of anything or have any other suggestions for dealing with these issues? Also I've been hearing a lot of good thinks about
Colloidal Silver , could it help with any of these issues?
