It actually makes total sense. Referred pain from the liver is centered in the right shoulder - from my Anatomy and Physiology book, and the liver meridian goes up to the shoulder. I saw somewhere on the net that this often results from toxins that settle in the joint, very common in 50's women, and may not be from any sort of trauma. I think that is what happened to me. So thanks for confirming and giving me hope that this path is the better one that the almighty knife!
