I can vouch for this. Very little of the fall crops have been harvested in my state. Tons of rain this fall (most unusual) made the fields so wet the farmers couldn't get their equipment in to harvest. Soybeans and corn in particular were hit hard. Water content of the soybean crop is still too high in many areas to be able to harvest. Some farmers are reporting white mold in the fields. I think many farmers will be ruined as their year's income is still in the field. I have read of this being repeated in many states.
