Re: vaccinations
Samantha, any brand of castor oil will do. If he's fussing with gas or a tummy ache, a glycerine tincture of catnip and fennel will give him relief.
No, I do not believe any of the immunizations are necessary or safe. You are going to have to do some research to be able to stand your ground. Otherwise, the 'conventional wisdom' will convince you that you are being irresponsible for not protecting your child. If you will e-mail me, I will be happy to send you the paper I wrote on immunizations for a college class which will give you a few references to get started with.
A newborn baby is running on their mother's immune system from what they gleened in the womb, through her colostrum and through her milk. They do not have a mature immune system and so, are extremely vulnerable when it comes to the list of immunizations they want to do at birth. I am always amazed at how they can convince intelligent men and women this is actually safe! For your baby's sake - please, do your research and learn all you can, so you can stand your ground and have valid reasons for what you are doing!
