my dentist said using baking soda/peroxide together or alone will damage tooth enamel ill never get back, what do you know about this hv?
Baking soda is abrasive, but so are most toothpastes. This is why it is a good idea to avoid brushing hard.
As for the peroxide, I feel it is the acid stabilizers in the standard 3% peroxides sold in the brown plastic bottles that cause the damage and not the peroxide itself. This is why it is better to use the food grade hydrogen peroxide and dilute it to a 3% solution so there are no added acids.
Used with baking soda though the acid in the store bought 3% peroxide would be neutralized if the stabilizer is phosphoric acid.
