the woman is 40, a teacher, and living in bristol bay alaska. the hands are red and raw with eruptions that crystalize. the diet is regional, lots of salmon and few fresh foods this time of year.
she is otherwise in good health. is there such a thing as too much essential fatty acids? could be lack of sunlight, vitamin D? she has had it for some time but now it is cold and dark and fairly dry for being on the ocean.
she doesnt have her hands in water much, either. handling lots of paper and books, of course.
no one else in the family has it and she is the only female with a husband and three sons.
