Hv, what you think about the quote:

I found it when I was reading a book about gut for restoring intestinal flora to prevent constipation and diarrhea.

It kind of makes sense that excess acidity from lactic acid might kill some of the bacteria but I agree with you that lactic acid prevents pathogens and yeasts from growing and keeps bowel healthy.
